{"id":2544,"date":"2022-10-26T10:34:00","date_gmt":"2022-10-26T09:34:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/agefriendlyhomes.ie\/?p=2544"},"modified":"2022-11-10T10:42:12","modified_gmt":"2022-11-10T10:42:12","slug":"government-range-of-supports-for-winter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/agefriendlyhomes.ie\/ga\/government-range-of-supports-for-winter\/","title":{"rendered":"Government range of supports for Winter"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p style=\"font-size:30px\">The government has urged householders to ensure that they are availing of the supports that are in place to help all of us through winter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\"><strong><u>Cost-of-living supports<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:30px\">The government announced a suite of measures to help people with the rising cost of living including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\" style=\"font-size:30px\"><li>a \u20ac600 electricity credit for every household in the country<\/li><li>a double social welfare payment for October \u2013 namely the Autumn Cost of Living Double Payment<\/li><li>a double child benefit payment on 1 November<\/li><li>a lump sum payment of \u20ac400 to people in receipt of fuel allowance, in the week commencing 14 November<\/li><li>a payment of \u20ac200 to people who are in receipt of the living alone allowance, commencing on 14 November<\/li><li>a \u20ac500 payment to people in receipt of the working family payment. These payments will commence on 14 November<\/li><li>a \u20ac500 lump sum payment for people getting Carer&#8217;s Support Grant. These payments will commence on 14 November<\/li><li>a \u20ac500 lump sum disability support grant will be paid to all people getting a long term disability payment<\/li><li>The above payments will commence on 14 November.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\">Also<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\" style=\"font-size:30px\"><li>\u20ac700 &#8211; \u20ac8000 grants available for attic and cavity wall insulation depending on the upgrades selected<\/li><li>37,000 home energy upgrades including 6,000 free upgrades under the SEAI Energy Poverty Scheme<\/li><li>\u20ac64 estimated savings through the extension of VAT reduction on energy bills<\/li><li>Any older person who has concerns about their energy costs, finances, health, housing, or wellbeing this winter can call ALONE\u2019s National Support and Referral Line \u2013 for access to services, advice and information.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-content-justification-center is-layout-flex wp-container-core-buttons-is-layout-16018d1d wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button has-custom-width wp-block-button__width-75 is-style-fill-lg\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.ie\/en\/press-release\/010ef-government-campaign-urges-people-to-avail-of-range-of-supports-as-we-face-into-a-difficult-winter\/\" style=\"border-radius:9px\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">See more here<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The government has urged householders to ensure that they are availing of the supports that are in place to help all of us through winter.
