As the article points out, by 2050 a quarter of the population will be over the age of 65. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Referencing the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.housingagency.ie\/sites\/default\/files\/publications\/35. Final-Report-Housing-for-Older-People-Dec-2016.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Thinking Ahead <\/a>research conducted by the Housing Agency, the article confirms that majority (two-thirds) of older people who own their own homes would like to remain their as they age.
