The Age Friendly Homes website was created and is jointly funded and managed by the Department of Housing, Local Government & Heritage, the Department of Health, Age Friendly Ireland and The Housing Agency. The day-to-day hosting is managed by Age Friendly Ireland.
This website arises from Action 1.3 of the 2019 Joint Policy Statement ‘Housing Options for our Ageing Population’ which was developed by the Department of Housing, Local Government & Heritage and the Department of Health, with support from key stakeholders, including the HSE, The Housing Agency and Age Friendly Ireland. It was agreed by these parties that Action 1.3 of the policy statement would be met through the development of the Age-Friendly Homes website.
